More than 100,000 Montanans, one out of every ten of us, now has health insurance through the Health Insurance Marketplace or expanded Montana Medicaid. But when you include those who are covered by traditional Medicaid, Healthy Montana Kids, and Medicare, half of our state is covered by these health insurance programs. We are talking about low-income seniors, people with disabilities, low and moderate income kids, and older Montanans – all of whom will be impacted by changes to health reform under the Affordable Care Act (ACA).
The ACA was not perfect, but any changes to health reform have high stakes for one out of every two Montanans. Big changes may be coming to our health system and it is more important than ever to tell the story of why Montana Coverage Matters.
Tell us why Montana Coverage Matters to you and your family.
After you submit your story, a member of our staff may contact you to learn more about your experience and to ensure that the Montana Primary Care Association and our partners understand your story. We may ask some follow-up questions or for more information. Then, we will work with you on ways that your story might be most helpful in spreading the word that Montana Coverage Matters! Opportunities to share your story may include story books and publications, social media posts, requests from the media, and use in our educational materials.
We are committed to working with each story teller so that you participate as much or as little as you feel comfortable.
Tell us a bit about yourself, your family, where you live, and what you do for work.
